Dare! and take calculated risks.
You must be sufficiently courageous and venture out to do something about defying those challenges. Being daring is more of a practice than a personality trait. In other words, you can be made a daring person. This can be achieved by incorporating small pushes beyond the limits of your comfort zone, such as by not following that new trend, that you don’t really believe in or by having to say “NO”, when you always said “YES” so begrudgingly.
At some stage of our life, we are faced with a decision of whether to take a risk or not. Be it leaving a miserable job, promoted to a different position that you know, is going to stretch you to the limits, starting your own business, or even taking on a new assignment. In this life, you must be terribly honest to you and everyone else, about your feelings and needs, or anything else for that matter. Being honest about your feelings and needs, may not immediately come to mind, when you are thinking about being more daring, but by pushing yourself to speak up instead of letting something slide, is in an actual fact a simple exercise that can be practiced continuously. Do not forget, that practice makes perfect. Whether we succeed or fail, the act of taking the risk, will stretch you and give you faith in yourself, in turn the confidence to do whatever. Maybe we are meant to or should take on things that scare us, so that we will be able to build greatness within ourselves. We usually find a safety net in our closest associates, such as our significant other, be it family, friend etc. in most cases to our detriment. Next time that you are feeling a little stuck up in life, please try and go it solo. Enrich your own “daring muscles”. Do not wait for the right moment to make a move.
When you have made up your mind, just go for it, whatever happens, will happen and you deal with it there and then. Remember that wasted time is wasted life. Sometimes, when you think that it is not the right time, because of whatever reason (overthinking), everyone else is probably thinking the same way. Maybe it is then when you should take that jump. Do not hesitate, just push yourself out of that “comfort zone” and take that calculated risk (pinpointing the possible negatives, creating plans to put out those fires, that will possibly flare after the execution takes place). Start off by practicing those baby steps and as you progress, when feeling comfortable take those bigger steps. Before you know, you have inspired others that surround you, to live a more daring life, too.
STAY AWAY FROM ALL THOSE THAT BELITTLE YOU, JOIN UP WITH THE DARING, BOLD AND AUDACIOUS. NOW DO YOUR RESEACH, ANTICIPATE MISTAKES, SET CHECK POINTS AND GOALS, LEARN TO SAY “NO” AND THEN JUMP WHEN YOU SEE THAT THE TIDE IS IN YOUR FAVOR.
BON VOYAGE!
